Since 1991
MATI – Jerusalem Business Development Center has been a driving force for economic growth and social equity in Jerusalem. We have helped thousands of residents across the broad social spectrum of the city to acquire the skills and know-how to successfully build small-to-midsized businesses and thereby gain economic independence for themselves and for their families. We invest our efforts in entrepreneurship and business development as a solution to endemic poverty, driving local growth, social mobility, and generating job creation.
MATI helps launch and expand about 900 businesses per year, creating 2,700 new jobs in the city and engaging 5,000 additional participants who benefit from training courses, workshops, business consultation, feasibility studies, business plan assistance and other courses. The organization plays a key role in developing the local economy by providing a viable alternative when workforce demand is declining, while focusing on helping those most vulnerable to economic hardship, including disempowered populations, marginalized women, new immigrants, Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) populations, and residents of East Jerusalem.
JOIN US IN BUILDING THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL RESILIENCE OF ISRAEL'S CAPITAL, THROUGH THE STRENGTHENING OF JERUSALEM'S SMALL BUSINESSES AND ENTREPRENEURS.
